Patricia Christophers Director

Joined Christophers 2002

I am one of the original team at Christophers. My husband and I first started Christophers in Mullion in 2002, then expanded to Helston and Porthleven.

I have had the pleasure over the last 23years of  helping many people sell and buy homes.

I was a Bolitho born in Helston and moved to Porkellis when I was 18 months old where many previous generations of the Bolitho Family lived and still live. I attended Halwin primary school then Helston Comprehensive. As a mature student I studied with the university of Worcester gaining a degree in Education (Professional Practice). I have lived in Helston for more than 40 years which is where both of our children were born. Being an Helstonian I am a proud to say that I have been lucky enough to have been in the leading set of the Mid Day dance on Flora Day when I designed and made my own dress.

I am lucky to live in such a beautiful part of Cornwall in my spare time I enjoy painting the coastal scenery and swimming in the sea, gardening and cooking desserts.

Alan and myself over the years has been very lucky to have worked alongside many dedicated, professional, and genuinely kind colleagues at Christophers Estate Agents.

I have lived and worked in Helston for most of my life and was educated locally. I am married to Louise and have two children. I joined Christophers in 2011 having worked for another local Cornish Company for 26 years in various sales environments. In this time I have amassed a wealth of knowledge which I now bring to the Christophers name.

I like the outdoors whether it being walking, cycling or enjoying all that our beautiful County offers. I am a licenced FA coach and run a youth football team at Helston AFC. I am a big sports fan especially supporting the glorious Manchester United, which I hope will not deter any prospective clients!

I am very enthusiastic, with an attention to detail and pride myself on delivering the highest standards of customer service.

I joined Christophers Estate Agents in October 2011 after returning to Cornwall from University. I grew up in Porthleven and attended Porthleven and Helston School where I had the honour of being Head Boy. I have always had an interest in property and am passionate about the area in which I live.

Outside of estate agency my main love is music and have played for many local Brass Bands as well as School and County Ensembles. In 2006 I went to Birmingham Conservatoire to study musical composition where I achieved a first class honours degree. In 2010 I continued my studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London where I was awarded a Masters degree in Music. My music has been performed at various venues across the country including Symphony Hall, Birmingham, the Wigmore Hall and the Royal Albert Hall, London.

Joined Christophers 2018

I was born and educated in Penzance. After attending the Penzance Grammar School for Girls, I then went on to complete a two-year secretarial course at Camborne College (now Cornwall College). My very first full-time employment was at an estate agent in Penzance. I spent five happy years there before moving to Helston, at the age of twenty-two, to get married and raise a family. I am very lucky to have two children,  a daughter and a son and two grandchildren.

I have now lived in my adopted town of Helston for over thirty years and have worked in the town in both the private and public sectors; first as a secretary in a firm of solicitors and later, when both my children were established in primary school, in a teaching support role at the College. In January 2018 I was very pleased to be invited to join the team at Christophers', a local company whose reputation for warm and friendly service is combined with a traditional and professional approach. I look forward to contributing towards their continued success.

When not working alongside my colleagues, I enjoy cooking at home with my partner and dining out together with family and friends. We love travelling overseas but equally enjoy long coastal walks here in Cornwall, during the autumn and winter, and endless sun filled days spent reading and relaxing on our fabulous sandy beaches in the summertime.

Paul Beevers

I have been involved in the property market for many years and joined Christophers in November 2019. As a qualified solicitor I am able to provide our clients with advice on the legal aspects of property transactions. I enjoy most sports and am a keen follower of Liverpool FC. During my spare time I enjoy running, cycling and treks in the country with my family.

Bruce Taylor

I have lived in Helston and the surrounding area for most of my life and have worked mainly in sales and marketing for both national corporates and local companies. During my working career I have spent many years involved in the property market and this began in the 1980’s when I worked for Jose Collins, a very successful local Estate Agent - so it is now a great pleasure to be involved with Christophers, another very successful and highly regarded local Estate Agent. Outside of work, I have a number of interests which include football plus sport in general, along with a wide variety of musical interests based primarily around brass bands and male voice choirs. I have organised a number of charity concerts at the Hall for Cornwall, many of which I have compered and I enjoy supporting a wide range of local organisations and charities by offering my services to compere various concerts and events. I also enjoy spending as much time as possible with my wife and family which includes three wonderful granddaughters.

Joyce Picot

I was born in Pershore, but grew up in Cornwall, specifically in Porthleven.  My family and I later moved to Oxfordshire where I completed my O-levels and pursued further education at secretarial college.  I spent 45 years in Oxfordshire, during which time I got married and had two amazing boys.  I maintained a strong connection to Cornwall often returning especially for Helston Flora Day, which I was lucky enough to take part in on 3 occasions.

Finally, in 2018, I returned to Porthleven and started working for Christophers estate agents soon after. I now enjoy spending time gardening, going for coastal walks, listening to live music and of course helping people find their dream homes...

I was born in Helston and at the age of two moved to Newlyn. I returned to Helston just after I failed my eleven plus and attended secondary school there. I started in estate agency in 1977 and trained to be a surveyor.

I was one of the original team at Christophers alongside my wife Patricia , Garry and Sheila without whose support and help the company would not have started.

I have two children and I am fortunate to combine my two main hobbies of sport and photograpy with my pictures of Helston teams appearing form time to time in the local press. I have followed Manchester United since 1966 but was connected to them from birth having been named after Duncan Edwards who had shortly before lost his life in the Munich air crash. In my younger years I played cricket and football for Helston. I enjoy listening to music particularly The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Paul Simon and Coldplay.

I am very lucky to have worked alongside so many dedicated, professional, successful and genuinely nice colleagues in my time with Christophers Estate Agents.
